For Crying Out Loud

I don't get the NCAA's decision. Guy gets a 5.12 on a 4.0 scale, and the NCAA won't let Coach Richt attend the graduation ceremony, at which the student athlete is supposed to speak.

Wrong-headed, if you ask me.

Raymond Higgs to Arkansas

Somewhat dated information, but I felt I should post it, since I posted earlier about having the Georgia coaches try and recruit Higgs.

Maybe he won't play basketball and I won't feel so bad about "the one that got away."

At any rate, you have to wish Higgs well as he heads out to college.

Q&A with Coach Fox

Good questions from reporters and even better answers from Coach Fox.

Just in case the link somehow becomes non-functional, Coach Fox commented that Travis Leslie is doing well in the classroom. Semester isn't over, but he's doing well.

Trey Thompkins seems inclined to stay.

Vincent Williams is a shooter.

Fox will look for other signees this year, including internationals.

Fox would have honored Daniel Miller's scholarship.

Everyone has a good attitude, and Fox has been enjoying his time on the road.

Maybe we can pick up another scorer somehow-- a late qualifier, legitimate small forward who can defend, or a transfer from somewhere. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, a critical need for Georgia has apparently been met. Vincent Williams, a point guard from Florida has committed to Georgia coach, Mark Fox.

Dawgpost.com has an article on the Williams commitment.

Williams

Good get for Coach Fox.
