Remembering Alec Kessler

He passed away 2 years ago Tuesday.

Alec

I'll report on the results of the Alec Kessler Memorial Tournament during the high school basketball season.

Hope the Kessler family is well.

Takais Brown in Argentina

Takais Brown arrived in Argentina last month, coming from Slovenia, where he had averaged 15 points and 9 boards in 29 games in the Euro League.

Unfortunately for Takais, he apparently has some lingering knee problems, and reports indicate that he might be out of commission for a while.

Rashaad Singleton Leads Heat Devils

Rashaad Singleton was invited to the New York Knicks team camp earlier in the year. Although he did not make the Knicks squad, Rashaad is continuing his basketball career, playing in Japan.

In his last game, Singleton scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Rashaad helped lead his team, the Oita Heat Devils, to victory.

Singleton will have to continue to play well for the Heat Devils to win. Last year, Oita went 8 and 44 on the season. The team has a new coach and a new 7-foot center, and a new record of 1 and 1 for the year.

Congratulations, Rashaad!

Georgia has a shot at Lalanne

I think UGA could get him, but it sounds like Ole Miss leads.

Lalanne

Dave Bliss on the 09/10 Dawgs

Very measured in his terms. He'll be a good head coach some day, if not a politician.

Review

Ugghh.

Didn't see the Tennessee game. Glad I didn't.

Ole-fashioned whuppin' is what I gathered from the press reports. I had hoped that Georgia would surprise this season, but our schemes won't get us there. Maybe we need a sharpe offensive mind that can bring in some version of the spread offense.
